After having used the field of the dog school in Overijse for quite some time, we thought it was time for a change. We were very happy to be welcomed by the dog school Brabo in Brasschaat. Beautiful grass fields with all the necessary accommodations: a nice club house, lots of parking space, and all that in the middle of the calm and freshness of the woods.

Apparently the chosen date for our annual event was a success, because we had almost 50 inscriptions.

The judge was Mr Tapio Eerola from Finland, a man with a lot of experience in dogs, and in particular in Hovawarts. In the ring he was kindly assisted by Mr Marc Schellekens as the ring commissaris, just as he did the previous year.

The judge preferred to judge in German which allowed him to be much more precise and explicit than in English, so Carry and myself took up the ring secretariat.

The judging carried on throughout the day and along the way all participants could also enjoy a delicious barbecue we had prepared. All went well and around 16u30 we could close the event with the distribution of the prices and the trophees.

Once more, thanks to Mr Eerola who judged with strong expertise and also took his time to explain the judgements to the audience.

Thanks to Marc Schellekens who made everything run smoothly in the ring.

Thanks to all the participants, I hope you all had a nice day and enjoyed talking to other Hovi-friends as much as we did. Also special thanks for the participants from the Nehterhlands and Germany, they made our show a real 'international' one.

Thanks to all the committee members who worked so hard the last weeks, and also to all the volunteers who helped and made it possible for us to organise this event : An and Christian, Luc, Franck, Jens, Klaas and Elke.

And finally, thanks to the local club and especially to Lea, Staf and Guido who were readily available for us during the whole day.

We hope that our club show next year will be as successful as this one. We have already booked the field in Brasschaat for 2007, so please note in your agendas Monday May 28th! See you then at the latest.
